Readings and other Events
Widely published as a poet, I’ve performed more than once with a robot – as well as authoring two popular science books on robots.
I have three pamphlets and around 200 other published poems in a variety of online and print publications.
A selection of published poems and some sound and video of my performance of them.
Film poems combine spoken word with moving image. I am now exploring this combination.

Ayletts through the ages
From Boidin Ailet in 1174, granted land in Bradwell-by-the-sea by Henry II, Ayletts have mostly appeared in Essex.
The picture shows my great-grandfather Thomas Aylett, a retired policeman, then living in Springfield, Chelmsford, on the occasion of his only daughter, Dorothy’s, 21st birthday in 1915. Two years later, Frank, shown leftmost, would be a casualty of the Somme.
